Donations Rolling In!

We're already up to $882.00 and almost 10% of the way to our goal and there are still some big donations not credited to the team yet! Thanks everyone! Keep it up and we will find a cure!

Join the Brawlers or Donate to the Cause!

First, a thanks to all of you who participated last year in the walk either via walking, running, or donation. Like last year, I have created a team walking for my mother called BLK's Brawlers. The event is March 18th, 2012. I personally will be running the 10k (successfully I hope). Please join me in either the run or the walk by registering with my team at the link below. If you can't walk/run, there is a donation link below as well. Remember EVERY dollar helps to find a cure!

Sicerest Thanks,
Gerry Krauss

On to a better place!

First, I must apologize for not keeping up with the blog as much as I should have. Mom had ups and downs, the kids were doing summercamp, Sandra has been pregnant, and life as a whole has been hectic. I promise to do better from here on out.

Most of you already know that mom lost her fight with cancer on September 17, 2011. But what you all may not know was all that she was up to during her 10 month fight. She was able to enjoy a fantastic christmas with her husband, sons, grand children, and other family members. She was able to attend the ultrasound when we found out that baby Aubrey was going to be a girl. She was able to be the first person to pick out several outfits and accessories for Aubrey. She was able to see  her youngest son graduate eighth grade with high honors. She was able to see him get accepted to a fantastic high school. She was able to spend a wonderful day with great friends and family at a picnic for her 49th birthday thanks to her friend Lisa. She was able to spend lots of time with all those that mattered most and she lived those 10 months to the fullest.

When she passed she made sure there were no regrets and nothing left unsaid. She never complained and spent her final days making sure everyone was ok, and everyone else knew what to take care of, and EVERYONE ELSE! She is definitely the model of an excellent wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, neice, and overall person. She left a little bit of her in all of us and wanted nothing more than for us all to pay it forward.

She will be forever loved and forever missed!

I will continue to post fund raising event info, memories of mom, family update, and other useful information for the cause. Please check in from time to time to see what's new!

I leave you with my new motto: CARPE DIEM - Seize the Day!
